KERASTASE Genesis Défense Thermique Heat Protectant 150ml

Kérastase Genesis Défense Thermique is a 150ml fortifying blow-dry cream for weakened hair that breaks. It goes on towel-dried hair before heat styling and, according to Kérastase, helps strengthen fragile lengths, control frizz and protect from heat. It contains silicones and coconut oil.

How it works

Amodimethicone and dimethicone PEG-7 phosphate smooth and coat the lengths, coconut oil softens, and a hydrolyzed vegetable protein with silanetriol adds conditioning. The Genesis complex adds ginger root and edelweiss callus extracts.

Who it suits

Weakened, frizz-prone hair that is blow-dried or heat styled, particularly in Cyprus humidity.

What it will not do

• It does not treat hair loss. It targets fall caused by breakage.
• It is not silicone-free. It also contains isopropyl alcohol and fragrance allergens, including benzyl benzoate.
• It does not wash or deep-condition the hair. It is a leave-in.

Good to know

Kérastase directs 2 to 4 pumps on towel-dried hair, depending on length and thickness, distributed through the lengths and combed through, then blow-dry or air-dry. Do not rinse. A small amount can also finish dry hair to tame frizz.

Pair it with

Bain Nutri-Fortifiant and Masque Reconstituant.

On Towel-Dried Hair

Apply 2–4 pumps, depending on hair length and thickness.

Distribute through the lengths to the ends.

Comb through to distribute evenly.

Proceed with blow-drying or allow the hair to air-dry.

Do not rinse.

On Dry Hair

Apply a small amount after blow-drying or air-drying as a finishing treatment to help tame frizz and improve shine.
